Lom Ahlijah is called to the bar in the Republic of Ghana and in New York State, United States of America. Lom also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from the prestigious Harvard Law School, Harvard University in the state of Massachusetts, United States of America.
Lom has extensive experience in corporate and commercial legal work. Lom also holds a certificate in the “Language of Business” from Harvard Business School.
Lom has served as an external consultant to London Research International and as an International Visiting Counsel in the UK Law Firm of Berwin, Leighton & Paisner LLP (now Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP) on the International Lawyers for Africa Programme.
Lom has significant corporate and transactional experience advising, drafting and negotiating various transaction documents such as property acquisition, property financing and securitization documentation. He has performed due diligence on various companies involved in M&A and joint venture transactions deals therefrom.
Lom has considerable experience in conducting cross-border project evaluation with respect to West African Power Pool Interconnection Projects. He has advised on several national policies and served on key committees of the Republic of Ghana including the Ghana Nuclear Power Programme Organisation Lawyers' Group and the Ghana Energy Sector Cash Waterfall Committee.
Lom also teaches Commercial Law and Legal Writing at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
